About Waseem
Waseem joined Stantons as a Director in 2024 and brings more than 30 years of international audit and assurance experience across Australia, the Middle East, and South Asia. He began his career in 1995 with a global accounting firm before moving into senior roles with a Big Four firm in Australia from 2005, specialising in external audit and related assurance services.
Waseem has extensive experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US GAAP and PCAOB requirements, and has supported clients operating in highly regulated industries and listed on major global exchanges. His background includes leading complex financial reporting transitions, advising on regulatory compliance frameworks, and contributing to the development and enhancement of audit methodologies.
A strong advocate for capability building, Waseem is involved in learning and development and has delivered technical training across the oil and gas and mining sectors. He has also played a significant role in mentoring and developing teams both locally and offshore.
