James Turnbull

James is a senior corporate finance professional with more than 25 years of experience advising, valuing, and financing mid market mergers and acquisitions across both Australian and UK markets. His experience spans private and listed companies, private equity, and the full capital structure, supported by deep capabilities in valuation, transaction advisory, strategic planning, and financial analysis.

Throughout his career, James has held senior leadership roles in global and national professional services firms and major financial institutions, leading corporate finance, M&A, and strategic advisory engagements across a range of industries. Since 2017 he has been Principal at Brouwer Capital, while also serving as an Authorised Representative with Stantons Corporate Finance.

James is highly experienced in valuation engagements for financial reporting, taxation, independent expert reports, and independent limited assurance reports. James brings a strong commercial focus and analytical rigour to his work, with recognised capability in assessing and valuing private industrial businesses. He has coached and developed teams throughout his career and has a proven track record of assisting boards, executives, and business owners through complex transactions and strategic decisions.
